Our Facilities

Florence House opened in May 2021 under new ownership and management, including a total refurbishment.

Originally built in the 1800s the home has a wealth of Victorian character and charm with its own individual, homely atmosphere. Adapting to your needs and requirements, we want you to feel at home with us.

The Nightingale Wing consists of two units, one for older adults with dementia or mental health problems and the other for younger adults with specific care needs.

The Victoria Wing specialises in nursing and palliative care. The highly trained staff are responsive to the individuals preferences and values to ensure each person is treated with the greatest of care and respect.

Therapies on Thames has partnered with Florence House in Reading to provide recuperation from illness or surgery in our therapy-led multi-disciplinary inpatient rehabilitation centre in Reading.

We have a hairdressing salon with massage, pedicure and manicure units newly built for residents.
