Reimagined with Care

Florence House began a new chapter in May 2021 under new ownership and management, following a complete refurbishment. Originally built in the 1800s, Florence House retains its beautiful Victorian character and charm, offering a unique, homely atmosphere.

Adapting to your needs and requirements, we want you to feel at home with us.

Split Across Two Wings

Nightingale Wing consist of two dedicated units: one supporting older adults with dementia, mental health challenges, and another for younger adults with specific needs, including physical or learning disabilities.

We also offer specialist bariatric care to support residents with complex health requirements.

Victoria Wing specialises in nursing and palliative care. The highly trained staff are responsive to the individuals preferences and values to ensure each person is treated with the greatest of care and respect.

Assisted hydrotherapy baths and wheelchair / assisted accesible showers (in many ensuite rooms).

Hairdressing

We have a hairdressing salon with massage, pedicure and manicure units newly built for residents.

Physiotherapy

You will receive an expert assessment from our in-house physiotherapist and follow-up support.
